Wolfgang Leimgruber new Porsche Head of Production

Supervisory Board names successor for Michael Macht

Stuttgart, 29 July 2009. The Advisory Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has newly appointed at today's meeting Wolfgang Leimgruber (59) as member of the Executive Board of the sports car manufacturer. Taking effect immediately, he will assume the duties of Michael Macht (48) - who was named CEO of Porsche AG a week ago - as head of the Production and Logistics departments.

Leimgruber, born 1949 in Laupheim, was trained as a machinist and later received training at the Ulm School of Engineering, before studying machine construction at the Technical University of Stuttgart, graduating as chartered engineer. In 1978, he joined Porsche as planner in the Production department. After serving several managerial functions in Production, in 1992 he was appointed as Head of Car Body Manufacturing and Paint. In this function, he significantly contributed to the restructuring process of Production, which had begun at the time under head of Porsche Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking.

Moreover, Leimgruber had represented executive management in the Supervisory Board of the Porsche SE as well as the AG since 2007. He had already resigned as member in the SE in January 2009. After being appointed to the Executive Board, he will also resign from his position on the Advisory Board of Porsche AG.
